Hi guys, My 90 2+2 auto TT swap is almost done. After the tranny and the exhaust bolted up to the engine, I crossed my fingers (with the healed one…) and turned the key. Much to my surprise, and relief, the engine actually cranked over and idled. But in a split second, the sound of un-muffled exhaust noise gave me the sinking feeling that something’s not right. It was coming from the driver side near the brake master cylinder. Yeap... I forgot the plug the EGR fitting on the exhaust manifold. While questioning the meaning of life and thumb sucking in fetal position, I decided that anyone can be a contortionist. So with much cursing and counting my blessings (could have be worse), I was able to install the plug with an Allen socket and an open end wrench: View from under the MC: BTW, without the AC, I relocated the PTU here: VDO boot gauge: So, here we are: Next step, swap in TT fuel pump and TT aux fan.
