| Barry's post motivated me to put together a post with an update on my car. Quick bit of history:

Don't look now, but guess who's on his way back" And bringing this up to date, thanks to my family who bought me Z parts for Christmas (first time I think that's ever happened), I started work on refreshing the "new" engine in January of this year. I won't bore you with all of the pics, it wasn't anything special other than refreshing everything accessible while the engine was out and adding upgrades where applicable (300Degree fuel rail, MSP manis, Stillen I/C's) Here's a couple of before pics of the engine:

 Then, clean/degrease the engine bay, route new harness, and prep for engine installation (check, check, and check):

 And finally, success!!
Only hiccups encountered in the start-up was one papertowel caught in the throttle body, and a bad fuel pump controller. After those items were rectified, the car moved under it's own power for the first time since Nov 2011. It's still has a ways to go before it's back to proper condition (paint, tires, general cosmetics), but it's a major relief to reach this milestone and I'm looking forward to putting the Z back into service soon. Big thanks to my wife and sons, Specialty Z, Bernie, Kyle/IPP, Ben (ZXRider), Tony (BigTPuppy), Ian (bondztt), and numerous others (sorry if I didn't name anyone directly). Thanks for reading!
