Message I could lock up 275 section 200TW tires with stock brakes. What larger brakes give you is better heat handling, like you mentioned, and much better control. Larger brakes are much easier to modulate and control near the limit, which can definitely reduce stopping distance. There's a lot more to brake systems than just stopping distance.
