Message My original post is here.

The only thing I can think of that may be causing this is when I did the timing belt change. I did it word for word the way the tech page outlines, but when removing the old belt I wasn't able to prevent the passenger side intake cam sprocket from jerking clockwise, even though I was expecting it (the tech even says the passenger side one will want to jump, but what it doesn't say is what to do in case it does jump). I just used the old belt to loop around it and continued turning it until it was back on the mark. Could this have done something to cause all my problems?

Well I finally got it to run on all 6 cylinders (just pulled the plugs and cleaned them, they were very fouled.) I tried to drive it in my neighborhood last night, got to the first stop sign and stalled it (need to adjust the clutch). After it stalled it wouldn't start back up, so I pushed it into my garage and called it quits for the night and went to drink my car woes away. When I got home today, I tried to crank it once more and it starts right up, but with the same problems I had before. There is a loud, rapid but intermittent (although more occurring than not) tick. I believe it is a lifter tick. There is a link to a video I took here, but it's kinda hard to hear over engine noise. The sound gets louder as rpm's increase.

I discovered I forgot to plug my oil pressure sending unit in, so I thought maybe the oil pressure wasn't high enough, causing the lifter tick. I moved it back to the stock location (don't know why but whoever had the car before me decided it should be on the drivers side of the pan, in a near-impossible to reach location) and plugged it in. Made no noticeable difference, and the oil psi gauge read where it should, according to the fsm (~15 psi @ idle, 65 at 3k rpm's).

The car is very rumbly and doesn't sound good at all. Sounds like it is misfiring, maybe dropping a cylinder every now and then. But the idle is pretty stable and right around 750-800. The way it sounds you would think the rpm's were all over the place.

I am running out of ideas and don't know what else to check. I am at a complete loss now, and this is my only car, which I am supposed to be driving 12 hours to Miami, FL on Monday for work. What to do?!?!
