Hmm, haven't checked the EGR and the timing hasn't been checked yet. I plan on getting that soon since I do not own a timing light. I don't even know what to check on the EGR, resistance? Oh yeah, no fail codes on ECU either. I'll search about the EGR. One thing I saw today but haven't messed with is thet the recirc valve hoses were pulled off and capped. Could that contribute to idle problems and stalling? I think it's the hoses that lets out the excess pressure back into the intake.
