My trim was all cracked and falling apart exposing all the metal beneath it. It looked really nasty as I'm sure most of you have experienced. Here's my quick fix. Windshield Trim: First I cut slits down the entire length of the windshield trim on the inside and outside edges so I could pull the old cracking stuff off in one strip. It peeled right off no problem. Then I sanded it to get off all the grime and added a few coats of primer after I masked off extensively and used a lot of old blankets to cover the car. I wet sanded the primer and sprayed coats of Trim Black until it was as black as it was gonna get. I used this instead of the Bumbper Black I used on the windows because it bonds to metal/primer instead of rubber. Got this at PepBoys
 Here's the result
Good as new until you get up real close. You can sorta see where the rubber meets the now unrubbered metal. You wouldn't notice if you weren't looking for it though. Window trim: This was a lot easier. Just masked off the car really well again and cleaned off the trim with some soap and water. I found a can of stuff called Plasti-Kote Bumper Black also at Pep Boys. This stuff is a flexible acrylic that bonds to rubber and plastic. I just added coats until all was black again. Looks great.
Wish I had the before pics but the difference is like night and day. Hope this helps somehow.
