Hey guys, my question today is should the rpms raise with electrical load? I understand that the iacv increases the rpms when the AC compressor is on but how about when it's just the headlights and AC fans? For my 1994 NA when I turn on the headlights the rpms dip down about 100-150 rpms and stays there. The volts will drop about 10-20 volts. Same with the AC fans (econ) but when turned on together my volts drop to about 12.90 volts and under. When I rev the engine the volts jump back to 13.50. I do suspect either or both my battery and alt to be bad. But.. should the rpms be raising with the load?
