So I don't have an appointment by the viper dealer to get this alarm system removed until next week but read the installation guide a bunch of times. I noticed by unplugging the whole remote start connection block the clutch wouldn't activate the starter, the key would....but it wouldn't start the engine just engage the starter. There is a main harness, an H2 24pin harness, a remote start 10 pin harness and a couple other smaller ones. So I pulled the starter relay behind the driver fender and tested the continuity and also hooked it up to a 12v battery to make sure it worked and sure enough it clicked over when electricity went to it. So my thoughts were that it was the remote start kill switch relay and in this model of viper alarm it is inside the alarm brain itself and not next to the battery or fuses. I pulled the pink/white 30amp inline fuse that's labeled "(87) FLEX RELAY +12V INPUT (30A FUSED)".....and it totally resolved the problem. Somehow that circuit is messed up maybe someone can shed light on why. But i'm a happy camper now, no more griding starter when switching gears (it's lucky theres a sweet spot just above where the clutch pedal hits the clutch safety swtich that will allow the clutch to engage and disengage but what an annoying thing to have to do).
