Ok friends. I've spent the last year almost, swapping out R12 parts to R134 parts. There was nothing wrong with my old R12 compressor, but I figured I would replace it while I was swapping everything else. Cut to the chase, I tried a Four Seasons reman and it failed (or I killed it - might of overfilled it, or used the wrong PAG). I am going to bolt my old OEM compressor back into the car, but before I do - remind me about pre-filling the compressor. I drained it down last year, and just drained 1-2oz of oil from the drain hole today. But I don't recall how much I took out last year. What's the proper oil and quantity to put back in the drain hole? Even though it's an R12 compressor, we're using R134 gas. I just want to say this outloud and hear feedback, because I don't want to screw it up. I got the old thing pretty clean, though!
If I would have known addiction was this expensive I would have seen a shrink a long time ago. --BadZCar (FL)
