Message	I discovered when car was in neutral everything worked fine. Shift it in gear and give it a little gas so the RPMs climb and the pod and sound quit. Put it back in neutral and coast everything worked. Tested the voltage with it idling and it was at 17v! It's been 19 years since I installed the last alternator so I guess it had a good run. Hopefully replacing it solves the issue.
