Message Walbro fuel pumps are relatively cheap.
I would thinking replacing a bad fuel pump would be easiest best case scenario.

I couldn’t imagine your FPCU is not bypassed. My understanding a Walbro and non-by passed FPCU don’t mix very well and eventually the FPCU goes bye bye relatively quick.

Seb did a brief discussion on this in one of his Specialty Z videos on YouTube.
