Haha! Yes, I am trying to keep mine on the road as well. I had my 96 for 20 years before I hydroplaned in the rain and totaled it. I loved it so much I had to get another one and the 96 is my parts car.
Thanks for the heads up on the injectors. I was not aware of this difference.
Is there an easy way to tell if they are the early style or not without pulling them out? I have the paperwork for the work the previous owner had done that I can check when I get home tonight to see if it lists a specific part number or something that may help.
