Ok, so i figured out what it was really doing. The gearshift position sensor doohickey on the trans was misadjusted. Thought it was in d2 when it was in 1, thought it was in D when it was in d2, and so on. Nothing was happy. I also found a clogged trans cooler, completely stopped up with a mystery substance. Drives okay-ish but after picking up a consult adapter and a copy of NDS, talking to the ECU is also a train wreck. KOEO, data is fine. KOER, data goes haywire. Pop the case open, reveals a pile of dead cockroaches. Needs an ECU. Time to park the thing and tear it apart. Now to decide... Cams/solid lash adjusters, standalone and a stick and keep it N/A, or go all the way TT.....
