Used the ARP Chromoly studs that were the norm back in 2008. They had no galling thread damage and believe that they are fine. They used the smaller washers which did not cause any imprint into the casting. The main issue was that the Cosmetic gasket did not fit snug around the RH side block dowel pins. The gasket rested down when the head was put on and torqued down. This cause gasket inside the combustion chamber and burned away the top gasket layer until it actually started leaking coolant into the chamber fouling out the plug. Took 8K miles for this to happen. I put new dowel pins in the block and test fit OEM gasket. All is now in perfect alignment. This was a stupid mistake made but a costly one for me. I now think I need another head.
