Message	The solenoid is either on or off, so if it was always off then you just aren't going to benefit from the different cam timing. If the valves don't hit either on or off, they wont hit if it's always on or off. The function of the VTC is to help engine performance under certain parameters. However, I don't know what would happen running with one connected and one disconnected.
