In Reply To Stock (N/A) diff oils - should they have friction modifiers? posted by shawmanz32na on May 12, 2023 at 11:35 AM

Message Thanks to Polishzx, ZUL8TR, and slayer fan.

Redline 75W-90, Mobil 1 75W-90, and Amsoil Severe Gear 75W-90 all contain friction modifiers, so I think it's safe to say the consensus is that yes, the diff oil for a stock diff should include friction modifiers.

Other folks are still welcome to weight in if they have additional info, e.g. the composition of the OEM Nissan fluid.
