are running higher boost on the OEM block - and I'm sure quite a few would be hesitant to do so given the inherent risk. Engine health/behavior varies for each one. Granted, it should fall within a range, but you're still not going to get any type of guaranteed number. I can tell you what my target is based on the 127k miles on my original OEM engine - 500-525whp on E85. My compression numbers are good (on the low side of the acceptable range, but all within spec of each other), so I have confidence there, but of course, there's still risk. Some will say that the OEM VG30 is good up to 600whp, but at that point, that's really asking for trouble. If you're looking to be that aggressive, it's worth the invesment in pistons and rods. I recommend reaching out to a VG builder/tuner to discuss more in depth. Scott at Zshack, Seb at SZ, for instance.
