I have 1991 TT that starts to smoke on decel. I went for a drive today and after engine braking to stop at a red light I was greeted by a large cloud of smoke. Seems to be blueish. I went for a drive afterwards and it seems to smoke on every shift. My buddy was driving behind me and seemed to think more smoke was coming out of the drivers side pipe. In addition once I got home, if I revved the motor, it would smoke 2-3 seconds after I got off the gas. Under throttle or at warm idle the motor does not smoke at all.
Does anyone have any ideas on what it might be. My first thoughts would either be turbo seals or valve stem seals. Possibly sucking oil as a vacuum is created during decel. The car runs great just unsure what is causing the smoke. I have recently replaced the PCV system so I don't believe it is that. Thanks in advance for any help in diagnosing the problem.
