Message	issue is. There was a post here somewhat recently explaining how it all works, but I believe the jist of it is the speedo is supposed to get signal from the speed sensor, then is also responsible for transmitting it to the ECU. There are some known failures with this, which is where the problem could be. You may also get in touch with DVDBURN, a member on this site who specializes in these kinds of repairs on the gauge cluster.
