so they can take it out back and put it out of its misery. You can't seriously be questioning the Eagle representative about why they seem to think rod caps cannot be swapped between rods... can you? Regardless of what you may think, you will save yourself a lot of time and money if you simply trust their professional advice that you cannot. My advice to you is to find a qualified engine builder and pay them to assess and build your engine. I understand if you want to educate yourself on how to build it, but at some point we all have to come to grips with what our strengths and weaknesses are so we can capitalize on our strengths to pay someone else to cover where we are weak.
