Thats an interesting train of thought. I was thinking it may possibly be the thin oil killing my bearings! First i used some 'millers glaze bust' oil that is meant to deglaze bores, ruined bearings on a newly built engine. Then i used Joe gibbs Driven BR30 on a newly built engine, had ruined bearings after 50 miles but unsure why.
3rd build I used joe gibbs again, turbo blew after 250 miles and one of the rod bearings was down to the second bronze layer on inspection although it ran ok.
