I'm wondering if anyone else has had issues with Clevite main bearings recently. I couldn't get any mid-summer, I cleaned out Rockauto on them in May, but needed three more sets. They came back into stock a couple weeks ago and I got them in. They are now made in the US instead of Japan. The #4 (thrust) bearing is too narrow to fit the block, by .005". I checked all three sets, same dimension. I talked to Mahle tech support, they agree they are not in spec, told me to do a vendor return.... The one engine that was priority got a set of ACL that I managed to get my hands on.. With Nissan going out of stock on some grades, we aren't going to have a lot of choice soon.
