Haven't worried about any of this before, so this is off the top of my head. 1) maybe, I'm pretty sure you're going to have to pray the clamps are the right direction to get onto it. 2) I think you can get to these from underneath, reaching around the tank. Hope the clamp is in the right orientation. 3) I didn't know this existed before cutting open the tank. Looks like you can get to it from either side with the pump & gauge tops removed, so it would be possible to get it off the metal tube w/ an inspection mirror a lot of profanity. The plastic side... not sure. That part is pretty brittle in my example. It might not in a 'live' tank since the fuel slosh would keep it moisturized if you will. Your mileage may vary here.
