I decided against running a new wire for now. I am going to add octane booster (or mix in some racing fuel) and see if it takes care of it. If the wire is bad (as Specialty Z believes) or the sensor itself is having problems then the octane booster won't change anything and I will still get safety boost issues. If the problem goes away, then I guess my car can't handle boost over 10 psi on 91 octane gas. Simpler troubleshooting process.
