Message On re-test, it passed. 25 mph NO(x) measured (470 ppm) is approaching the current Max, 494 ppm. The other three test results, particularly HC, were well within limits. At least good enough for the privilege of forking over $140 to the State of California for DMV registration renewal. For a 29-year old car !
Pretty confident there's an EGR valve R2 in my 2- year future however.
If any Z32 geeks have any decent images of the back of the motor, installed, from say your last clutch replacement, that give good detail of the EGR valve in-place & stock connections, I sure would appreciate seeing them. I did my clutch in 1999 & wish I'd done a proactive EGR replacement, or taken some pictures, but no joy. I'll research the sh*t outta the job & accumulate necessary parts in the next year or two.
And I've seen the Tech doc that's here, already. Nicely done, but I want more. It's the USAF Aircraft Maintenance approach. Tech data, AMAP.
