Message	be replaced relatively cheaply and easily, so I will try that next. And yes, the vacuum fitting is what is being hooked up to the r134a can. I was thinking there might be debris in the line causing a clog? Unfortunately this was a rolling chassis and the A/C system hasn't lived a perfectly sealed life.
