Message Yes, I've seen a few threads about the MR2 pump. The thing I don't like about it is that it retains the need for fluid/hydraulics. I don't think I've ever met a 300ZX that didn't dump PS fluid all over the engine bay at least once it's life.

The Prius column seems simple and elegant and dumps the pump and hoses. Hot Rod magazine did an article on it a few months ago (not Z specific).

The TRS article went as far as disabling the power rack but I've seen other writeups that say just seal it up with grease and go. Maybe it depends on the rack.
