It also sounds like valvetrain noise. I haven't looked at the oil pressure gauge when I switch it on. Not that I really expect it to show up on the stock gauge but it doesn't hurt to check. I've got a lot of lifter noise as it is, would increased pressure make it more though? I also agree that the oil pressure should have it locked out, doesn't make sense mechanically. I'll definitely try driving with it forced on.
