For a long time I've wondered what this duck call sort of noise is coming from. It's most noticeable to me when shifting at medium to low RPM.(street driving normally) I didn't really know if it was happening at other times, that's just when things are quiet enough to hear it. Last weekend I went for a short drive with the hood off to see if I need motor mounts (I do) and with the hood off the noise was much more noticeable so I clipped the parts and uploaded it. I know it's the VTC because I used Nissan Data Voice to force the VTC on and it makes that noise all the time. I'm going to go grab a clip of that now. But what's going on here? Are my intake cams not getting enough oil pressure? Are the sprockets toast? I have some cams off a few motors I've torn down that I could swap on, but I don't want to pull the timing apart unnecessarily. Video Link
