Subject	91TT steering rack won’t hook up to steering column

Message	Bought a rebuilt rack, installed it but when I try to hook up the universal joint to the lower steering column the spline on the lower column only engages about 1/8th inch into the universal joint. Called the manufacturer but they didn’t know why. Anyone have suggestions please?
