as they provide a little more cushioning for the suspension, which results in a better ride. as I said, I can't speak for durability as I don't have many miles on them, but my car rides rough as hell but most of that is due to the Powertrix coilovers. if you are sticking with stock shocks, ES tension rod bushings probably won't hurt your ride enough to notice it. I haven't noticed any noise with mine yet, but as the miles go up, we'll see.
