Message a good set of tools for verifying the tolerances and machine work. I'd say go for it. It you decide to go that route, have the machine shop agree in writing to fix any issues you may find prior to or during assembly and/or replace the block at their cost if they totally botch it. Verify all of their work and inspect the block prior to assembly. Also, there was a member renting out torque plates if you deem that necessary.
