To make up for the lost diameter? What are your thoughts on the piston conditions? I need to clean them but not sure how deep I can get in there with a wire wheel or something.. wondering if I can get the skirts coated thicker to minimize slap and wearing.. the skirts coating looks 'pimpled'. You can see from one of the pictures. Either the coating wasn't applied correctly or the Piston wasn't cleaned properly. I'm wondering if the wear zones on the Piston skirts had these pimples and that's what caused the scraping on the cylinder walls? To create scratches like those, it has to be burrs, sharp edges, contamination, rough coating etc.
