| Need help with timing belt. I have done numerous timing belts on z's and never really noticed this or had this issue and do not know if it's related to the gates racing timing belt it not. I installed the timing belt and went through the whole tensioner adjustment. My issue is after I finish and I spin the engine a few times the belt slightly walks off the crank like a hair and is hanging up only by a hair you can't feel it only hear it slightly on the passenger side exhaust cam gear. Has anyone experienced this. The tension is good and all idlers are good. I have bde exhaust and bde bullseye intake gears. With a gates racing belt. I have tried swapping my chromoly lower stud with a oem and no change. I have made sure there is no dirt behind the tensioner and idler pulleys. I have tried multiple times even with a oem belt and it keeps ending up with it walking ever so slightly and hanging up slightly on the passenger side exhaust cam gear and you don't feel it just hear it.
