Message :do require the block to be o-ringed (same reduction of surface area around each cylinder as what your designer explains).
:I don't think the notion of exposing the deck surface to a thin sheet of coolant would amount to much since there needs to be volumetric flow to remove a measurable amount of heat. My guess is this coolant would be stagnate since there are so many other less restrictive flow paths for it to go.

We already used it on other cars and works nicely compared to having the head and block machined for the O Rings.
Also there is no need to retighten head studs again like some MLS or compressive type gaskets. The raised copper rings actually work and seal.

We are using this in my black TT for 1,000+
