Message	Yes they can. Check your trans fluid is correct and not old. Adjust your clutch pedal. Check your shift bushings aren't disintegrated. There are multiple things that can cause gears popping out. Worn synchros, mainshaft thrust clearances, worn speed gear dog teeth.... But yours is mostly likely the unknown short shifter, and lack of maintenance.
