Message	Slightly off topic but relevant... I was looking at the FSM to my 96 the other day and the neutral switch is apart of the ECCS timing control for manuals but it doesn't go into any detail how much. In the OBDI Zs the neutral switch isn't listed as part of timing control for manuals. It'd be nice if the FSM explained how its used in the OBDII Zs for timing control. From my observations it appears to only affect idle (still referring to manuals here) as my ignition timing is dynamic in neutral but will lock to 10 deg BTDC in gear or with the TPS disconnected. I dunno about ECM tuning, but speculating and with the emissions requirements of that year I think it may be due to that.
