Message reading with car warmed up, idling and headlamps on? It should be high end of 13v (13.8 - 14.1 or so). If 12 or low 13v ranges alty has an issue.

With car off, lights off, doors/hatch all closed (dash yellow security lamp not blinking) - disconnect the negative battery post clamp and use your meters DC amp setting to measure cars current draw. It should be no greater than 50mA (0.050 amps). If it’s a few hundred mA or higher - your altys diode bridge is shot (assuming no aftermarket sound system amp or aftermarket alarm system isn’t misbehaving and drawing excessive current).
