Message	tape adhesive, tar thrown up from the road, and other petroleum based goo. Mineral Spirits is petroleum based and it will not harm the paint. Just wax area after goo removal. Available at Wally world also known as paint thinner and that costs less than mineral spirits. ZUL8TR
