Message	travels up the wiring harness. So something else to check. How far up the harness did you splice in the new coolant connector? Also maybe check your splice - could just be bad? Totally possible the new sensor actually failed - the FSM has a procedure for testing it. Could just try substituting the old sensor as a trial. Might also be worth burping your coolant system. It’s possible an air pocket is a causing bad sensor readings although I think this is a long shot.
