For the past few months now, I've been driving with a severe intermittent hesitation issue.
I can go days on end with the car driving like complete crap. Accelerates like an NA Z, hits target boost but is noticeably slower, rough idle and POOR gas mileage (approx. 10 mpg).
Only codes I have is 34, but have had this code for more than this 3 month period.
Other times, I can be driving and Z feels smooth and has all power through the RPM's.
Other times, I can punch the gas, it will feel smooth and rough all the way through the powerband (on/off power/roughness).
Yesterday I changed BOTH o2 sensors with new Bosch units. Drove nice for a few miles, then went back to being choppy.
So things to check: TPS adjustment, MAF..... (what else?)
Can sticking wastegates make this happen? How to test them easily?
What about FPR, Damper, Fuel Filter or Spark Plugs?
I don't want to just start replacing things, I'd rather troubleshoot and narrow something down.
