Subject	Gas pressure at the cap!

Message	I have way too much gas pressure in my tank! After driving for a bit, gas pressure builds up and spews out the cap. I had the OEM original cap and replaced it with a new one that is self relieving. I can hear it working when I park. When I fill the tank up, it actually spews out of the cap and destroys my paint! I need an adult! I checked the relief line that goes back into the tank and it is clear of obstructions. When I rebuilt the car I checked cleaned the tank and all fuel lines so they are good. Any ideas would be awesome.
