Message Not really necessary to clean it up. I’m anal so I did mine years ago - lots of rags, good flashlight and 2 cans of throttle body cleaner. Needed to wear a 3m spray painting mask too and definitely did outside.

I’d also recommend doing the valve covers seals since all is apart along with the exhaust cover rear half moon seal plugs. Check the spark plug cavities too - make sure no oil is leaking in there.

Sorry - it’s been years, don’t remember where it got my coolant line caps for the bypass.

PS - there’s a trick to applying extra dabs of RTV to assist the intake valve cover gaskets. So post if you need more info for that...
