Message	Not surprising, a polished ally surface is going to be more slippery than the surface on the original pulley. Do you have a belt tension gauge? A Krikit type gauge from Gates or Dayco is cheap and easy to use and you can usually get the tension right on the first go. You do not want to go on tightening indefinitely as it is very easy to damage the water pump.
