missions, I opened one for some repairs. It was remarkably simple. 4 pairs of constant mesh, straight cut gears (no worries about cabin resonance on a bike) and two dogs controlled by a pair of forks. NO SYNCHRONIZERS! A Borg-Warner T-5 for instance; has sliders, synchros and helically cut gears. While quite a bit more complicated, shifts are smooth and there is no gear whine. I can guess the way a Z32 with a dog box would be inside at freeway speeds. 5th/reverse being the original in some kits.
