You will need an OEM manual or auto as donor to excise the front portion of the bell hosing. A ring with the T56 bolt pattern will need to be made (a CNC mill would work here nicely) and welded to the milled portion of the bell housing. Now you have a T56 that mates to the back of the VG. Not sure what to do about the the input shaft diameter at the pilot and disc splines and disc diameter. That means possible custom work on the pilot bearing or the crankshaft or the flywheel. Then a trans mount will need to be fabricated, as well as a new driveshaft. Got to hope the OEM CMC can displace enough fluid to move the center style slave, or else that will have to be addressed. Finally a Sikky or other articulated shifter column extender will need to be sourced to get the column up the correct location. Doing this will need a free block standing vertically to align the the input shaft to the center of the crankshaft. There is no room for imprecision here. I believe over all cost was estimated by the Wilmington guy at $6,500 minus some donor parts. On the bright side; multiple gear ratios are available. Unlike the 350Z transmission, whose ratios are not suited for the Z32. Input shafts are available from Tremec in Ford, Chrysler and GM; so maybe one will be easier to adapt than the others. This would be a wonderful mod but; to say the least, difficult to undertake, even if fully funded. And at the end, this sort of investment in the car may never be appreciated by potential buyers.
