I'll try to make this concise: My speedo has had an intermittent issue for a while now. It will bounce around and usually stick around 20mph or so when cruising on the highway. I never FELT the power steering effects associated with this, however. I purchased an entire instrument cluster from a 'trusted' member here and installed it last night. Well, to no avail, the speedo was stuck on 0 - wouldn't budge. I kept driving to see if it would wake up, and it did, but then returned back to 0. While driving to work this morning on the highway, I almost died. The steering took a mind of its own, luckily I was holding the steering wheel tightly. QUESTION: What items are related in this system? I know there's the speed sensor and the speedometer itself. Anything else that could be effecting these, or are they BOTH bad? I'm trying to avoid any (fatal) accidents. ThankZ!!
