Message	Ca DMV got in trouble for trying that in the '90's.. CA also DID have a 'Non Ca Smog Fee' when you brought a Non Ca Car into Ca for registration.. it was $400.. They were forced to give it all back but the Caveat was you had to ask for it!.. No one heard that part of the story then.. If the Car has the Cats, EGR and [NO] underhood Mods it will pass the Ca. Smog Test.. SOMETIMES you'll get a Dickish Inspector that will claim AMY Underhood Mods will prevent the car from passing the Visual test.. Look around and ask around you can find 'Less Critical' inspectors that understand some mods are ok.. What Year/Type are you looking for? Cj
