Message I suspect that the issue is rotational torsion that causes very slow creep. Even though the mounts are bolted in, those are small bolts do not get torqued very tightly and may be able to rotate fractions of a mm, but over time it adds up. A rubber gasket will likely prevent the rotation. Not sure why Nissan didn't just do that.. probably to save $$ on a non-critical part.
