Mine used to bleed off instantly like that, but I fixed it a few years ago, in my case (and quite often for others too), its a leak on the fuel pump assembly in the tank - so very easy to miss. The little 1-2 inch fuel hose that goes from the pump output to the top section hard pipe leaks (its only got compression clamps on it and as the hose /clamps age, they get looser, so the high pressure fuel leaks out the joins and back down into the fuel tank - so you don't see it). In my case just put new hose on and used worm drive clamps, never had a problem with it since, and the Z seems way better and more consistent in its power delivery ever since. I certainly recommended changing that hose/clamps even as a precaution if it's original, these cars are getting old now.
